Shadow Landscapes / Light Architectures
Workshop
Content: In this workshop, objects and associative architectural models are created using transparent packaging materials and projected into shadow landscapes and light architectures using light sources. Each child's individual architectural modules are combined into a shared choreography of shadow and light by illuminating them with focused light sources. By shifting layers, adjusting the distance and proximity of the light sources, and incorporating colorful transparent surfaces, new virtual spaces and images are continuously created in an entirely analog way. At the end, we have the opportunity to make a video of our moving images. Several small professional cameras are available for the children and adolescents to use.
Age: The workshop is recommended for people aged 7-14 and can be adapted to each age group through age-appropriate methods.
Prerequisites: No prior knowledge is required.
Scope: minimum of 4 lessons or 3 hours, maximum of one week
